Food For The Muse

I got an idea while indulging in my addiction to Pintrest (LOVE that place!) to post little snippets around steamy and romantic pics I find. Like a little flash fiction type of thing. I'll try for weekly snippets and maybe these will inspire my fellow writers as well as giving my readers something yummy to enjoy! Comment love as always is much appreciated!

She whimpered into his mouth. He tasted of peppermint, faintly of wine and the sweetness of the chocolate covered butterscotch. The chocolate was the only real indulgence he allowed to potentially mar the hard body he worked to maintain. She rubbed herself against the hair roughened warm wall of his chest.

"I missed you so much," she exhaled. Three days. Three long lonely nights away on business. 

He nudged upward with his hips, prodding against her thigh with his erection. He stroked her hip with his free hand, the other anchoring her to him. "Show me."

Then, she thought of Ben. She couldn’t live without him. To let her uncle take her away with him would be a worse kind of death than trying to escape and getting shot for the attempt. She had to try. Getting back to Ben was worth anything, even her very life. 

She reached into the wagon, grabbed the tin box, and swung it with all her might.

But Mrs. Mallory turned and walked in step with them toward the small, white-board chapel. “I didn’t think a man of your reputation would be interested in hearing the word of the Lord.”

“Oh, sure am. Why, just last night the missus here had me praising our good Lord, loud as can be,” Ben replied, and Katie tripped in her horror. Ben’s arm tightened around her securely.

Beth’s face went stark white, and her mouth opened and closed as she was at an obvious loss for words.
